Bio

The familiar saying “leave it all on the stage” rings true for the thousands of fans who have seen Lyndsey Highlander in concert across the U.S. Lyndsey arrived in Nashville from the antebellum town of Providence Forge, VA, near the Chickahominy River. From an early age, Lyndsey was known for her precocious musical talents; it was just a matter of time before she would share her gifts with the world. An inspired writer and top-notch performer, Lyndsey is just now hitting her musical stride. Currently touring the country opening for Phil Vassar and Travis Tritt, Lyndsey is sharing her music with fans worldwide. Among headlining shows of her own, Lyndsey has landed opening slots and shared festival stages with artists such as Brantley Gilbert, Randy Houser, Blackberry Smoke, Randy Travis and Steel Magnolia to name a few.

While she grew up with a prolific body of country music, Lyndsey couldn’t help indulge in all genres. She was captivated by the ballads of Celine Deon, the soulful interpretations of Gavin DeGraw, the Motown melodies of Aretha Franklin, and the rocking sounds of Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks, and Aerosmith. Lyndsey would even have a hard time staying in her seat when the heavy bass of hip hop hit the speakers…

Lyndsey has a style all her own, powered by massive vocal chops, soothing falsettos, and intimate story telling. As a live performer, Lyndsey has been known to mingle with the audience, firing up the crowd and melting their hearts with verses as impressive as her colossal bridges. Lyndsey comments, “Performing is indescribable, it’s God’s natural high… I love the music, I love the fans, I love absolutely everything about it!”

Soon after Lyndsey made the move to Nashville, she entered into a competition at the infamous Wildhorse Saloon, battling to become a regular house band. While performing, Lyndsey caught the attention of established talent agent, Jeff Howard, and was signed to APA Talent agency. “Trying to contain Lyndsey on stage would be like trying to lasso a tornado,” said Jeff. “Her performances are raw, energetic, sometimes uncontrollable and best observed in their beautiful natural state. She’s focused, but explodes with true talent.”

Lyndsey made her national television debut on RFD-TV and landed a national sponsorship and ad campaign with the world’s largest manufacturer of farm and ranch equipment, TARTER. Lyndsey is making a name for herself in Nashville as an artist to watch by pioneering the cities first female driven monthly concert series, The Stomp, which features the rising women of Country music. Lyndsey’s self-penned song, “Hard Work” was featured in TARTER’s commercial/music video starring Lyndsey and Ann Tarter and quickly made its home on GAC. The leading music industry trade magazine, CMA Close Up, also featured Lyndsey in the “Debut Artist Spotlight” spread.

The music video for “Flower’s Ain’t Gonna Fix This” from Lyndsey’s debut EP You Can’t Stop Me is currently live on CMT.com and claimed the No. 1 spot on CMT’s Pure 12-Pack Countdown for 6 consecutive weeks.
